London's Menier revives 'Pippin'
LONDON -- "Pippin," the seventies Broadway tuner smash getting a score by Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked") and book by Roger O. Hirson will probably be elevated at London's Menier Chocolate Factory. Previews begin November. 22 before a 12 ,. 7 opening.The first 1,944 performance Broadway run will be a signature work of director/choreographer by Bob Fosse. The completely new production will incorporate his choreography, but will probably be directed by Mitch Sebastian, who launched his directorial career getting a output of the show in 1997 within the now defunct off-off West Finish venue The Bridewell.Produced by Timothy Bird (Olivier award-champion for your Menier's "Sunday neighborhood With George") and lit by U.S. designer Ken Billington (Tony-champion for "Chicago"), the expansion is skedded to use until Feb. 25, 2012.
